„The 2020 Pechstein Riesling trocken VDP. Grosse Lage opens with a clear, beautifully pure, iodine-scented and flinty bouquet with bright, precise Riesling aromas that are as fine as intense. Vital, dense and lush on the palate, this a round and intense but elegant and characteristically saline Pechstein with fine tannins and sustainably tensioned, mineral grip. It is still too young but full of energy and promises.“

„Opens with a concentrated yet stony or mineral rather than fruity nose, although there is elegant, perfectly ripe and intense fruit in the background that will be more prominent after a while of bottle aging. Full-bodied and rich yet elegant and refined, this is an intense and refined as well as tight Weilberg with enormous tension, grip and vitality and a mineral finish. This is a superb dry Riesling from Ungstein.“

„Crystalline, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is a nervy, saline and piquant, youthful and grippy dry Riesling with no lifebelts but lovely edges to be rounded over the years in the bottle. It has very nice tension, grip and vitality and a long, intense and promising finish. Classic!“

Grosse Lage offers a deep, intense and complex as well as clear, pure and elegant bouquet of crushed stones and lemon juice. Full-bodied, intense and complex on the palate, this is a tightly structured yet refined and elegant Michelsberg with a long and intense finish. A wine to keep for about 3 or 4 years and of course many more years.“

„Is intense and flinty but still a bit reductive on the nose that indicates deep, ripe and elegant fruit in the background. Lush and with crystalline acidity, this is a medium to full-bodied, still young and slightly tannic dry Riesling with a still-drying grip but perfectly ripe fruit that will integrate the phenolic elements over the years in the bottle. Definitely a long-distance runner.“

Erste Lage opens with an intense and complex bouquet with ripe and elegant fruit aromas intertwined with delicate limestone and candied lemon notes. Full-bodied, round and elegant, with fine and vivacious acidity, this is a pure, vital and finely tannic Riesling with promising aging potential. 12.5% stated alcohol.“

„Intense and fresh yet still a bit untamed on the nose, with nutty and concentrated plus stewed fruit aromas. Lush and elegant on the palate, this is a round and juicy as well as refined and stimulatingly fresh and salty dry Riesling that is still enormously young and should be cellared for at least a year or better two. The acidity is delicate but fresh and nervously mineral-piquant. Very promising.“
